The Southern Economic Development Council, North America's oldest and largest economic development association, is set to lead an international economic development mission to Hannover, Germany, in April 2026. With the goal of accelerating foreign direct investment in the SEDC service territory, the Council will spotlight the business advantages of the American South and cultivate valuable connections at Hannover Messe 2026 – the world’s leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry.
Held annually in Hannover, Germany, the event attracts around 4,000 exhibitors and 120,000 visitors from more than 150 countries, showcasing innovations in manufacturing, automation, AI, digitalization, and energy. It connects global industry leaders, suppliers, and policymakers to shape the future of industrial production. The SEDC “Team American South” delegation aims to engage with global industry leaders, discern market strategies, gain industry insights, and highlight the American South's position as the world's premier investment location.
SEDC invites members to join the Council delegation on April 20 – 24, 2026. Registration is open now on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are extremely limited and expected to fill rapidly. Registration includes a conference pass, pre-arranged qualified prospect meetings, and more.
