The Southern Economic Development Council, North America's oldest and largest economic development association, is set to lead an international economic development mission to Berlin, Germany, in June 2026. With the goal of accelerating foreign direct investment in the SEDC service territory, the Council will spotlight the business advantages of the American South and cultivate valuable connections at ILA Berlin Airshow 2026 – an event which brings the world’s aerospace industry to the center of Europe.

Held every two years in Berlin, Germany, the event brings together around 600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and about 95,000 visitors. It showcases the full spectrum of the aerospace industry—from aviation and defense to space and advanced air mobility—serving as Europe’s leading platform for innovation, collaboration, and global partnerships in aerospace. The SEDC “Team American South” delegation aims to engage with global industry leaders, discern market strategies, gain industry insights, and highlight the American South's position as the world's premier investment location.

SEDC invites members to join the Council delegation on June 10 – 14, 2026. Registration is open now on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are extremely limited and expected to fill rapidly. Registration includes a conference pass, exhibit booth access, pre-arranged qualified prospect meetings, and more.
