Rome Floyd County Development Authority Approves Spencer Hogg as President and CEO
(Rome, Georgia - September 2025) The Rome Floyd County Development Authority (RFCDA) has approved Spencer Hogg as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of the economic development organization. The Chason Group (TCG) led the executive search for the Authority.
Hogg most recently served as President and CEO of the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority (NWGAJDA), where he led economic development efforts for Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and Walker counties. In this role, he oversaw business recruitment, industrial expansion, and key public-private partnerships that have strengthened
the region’s economy.
“The development authorities, along with city, county, and Greater Rome Area Chamber of Commerce leaders, collaborated to identify the most qualified candidates for the position who could build upon the solid
foundation of economic development already in place,” according to Jimmy Byars, Chair of the RFCDA, “Spencer brings a proven track record and the skill sets needed to accomplish this goal for the community. He is the right person for our community.”
Hogg has held multiple leadership positions within the NWGAJDA, including Vice President of Economic Development and Government Relations and Economic Development Project Manager. He also brings significant government affairs experience from his work with the offices of former congressmen Tom Graves and Jody Hice.
“Rome and Floyd County are shining stars in the economic development world,” Hogg said. “I look forward to working with the team of dedicated elected officials, appointed leaders, and existing industry representatives who cooperate to provide a strong quality of life and vibrant economy in northwest Georgia”.
The Chason Group (TCG), an executive search firm specializing in economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, foundations, and other nonprofit groups, assisted the Development Authority with the process.
