The world’s leading economy builders converged at the historic SEDC Annual Conference in Williamsburg, VA, on August 13 – 15. Together, we shattered our event attendance records; and more importantly, collectively strategized to accelerate #AmericanSouth economic development. We love to broadcast that the SEDC footprint represents 10 trillion of the US economy, which is the equivalent of the 3rd largest global economy. At the Annual Conference, the professionals responsible for this ascension (and $200 Billion in previous-year deals) were in the same halls! This was a powerful convergence of nearly 500 of the SEDC family.
The Kick off!
The Conference kicked off with the SEDC #YPCon at which the rising stars who will perpetuate and accelerate the south’s global leadership gathered to build community and discuss growth strategies. From there, the world’s leading experts, including 8 state-level Secretaries/CEOs of Economic Development and many of the nation’s best site selectors, delivered the “state of the practice” data that has so successfully empowered the American South with unrivaled business advantage and opportunity. We were inspired to tears and motivated by Keynote Speaker Jason Redman and were even joined by Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
