ITIC’s 3-Mile Oval Track Sweeps National and State Quality Awards

GREENVILLE, S.C., (March 19, 2026) –– The SC Technology & Aviation Center’s new 3-mile Oval Track at
the International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) has been turning heads, not just for the
innovative vehicle testing that happens there, but for the quality of the pavement beneath them.

This year, the industry took notice, honoring the track with two prestigious awards.

The technical mastery required to complete this highway-speed oval earned top honors from the
leading authorities in pavement. At its annual meeting in January, the National Asphalt Pavement
Association (NAPA) awarded the project the 2025 Quality in Construction Award. Two weeks later, on
February 11, the South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association (SCAPA) presented the 2025 Quality
Pavement Award to the project, citing the track’s superior technical results and overall appearance.
