Governor Ivey announces Doncasters expanding in Auburn, AL with $50M facility

July 20, 2026 - LONDON, England – DPC Holdings PLC (Doncasters), recently listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: DPC),a leading international manufacturer of superalloys and high-precision casting components used in aerospace and energy sectors, is adding a second Alabama facility, Governor Kay Ivey’s office and Doncasters announced Monday.

The new facility in Auburn is a $50 million capital investment and will employ about 70 people within three years with an average hourly wage of $30.29.

“Doncasters is a great company that already knows Alabama, knows what our people can do and knows the success we can achieve together,” Ivey said. “We welcome this second facility and the products that support several vital manufacturing sectors.” 

Doncasters manufactures highly engineered precision cast components and nickel‑ and cobalt-based superalloys primarily serving the high-growth aerospace and industrial gas turbine end markets.

The new facility is needed to meet demand for Doncasters’ products. The company has a precision casting facility in Oxford that has seen multiple expansions in recent years.

The company also has operations in four other states and was considering locations outside Alabama. Doncasters currently operates 14 advanced manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia. 

The Auburn facility announcement was celebrated Monday at the Farnborough International Airshow outside London.

“This investment and the high-quality jobs it will bring are tremendous for Auburn and the surrounding area,” said Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair. “Every new project announcement is exciting for us, but there’s something especially rewarding when companies already located here continue to choose Alabama for their expansions. 

“We are proud to grow with you, Doncasters.” 

The state’s partnership with the company includes Job Act incentives and AIDT workforce recruitment and training services.

Founded in 1778 in Sheffield, UK., Doncasters today turns metal into motion, excelling in the specialized manufacturing of vacuum superalloys and castings.   

The Auburn site will specialize in the production of high-performance vacuum master melt superalloys for use in aerospace and industrial gas turbine engines, as well as other demanding commercial and industrial applications.

Auburn’s incentives to Doncasters include the property where the new facility will be constructed, a 10-year property tax abatement and sales and use tax abatements.
