Jerry Hinson

Founder of Opportunity Funding LLC and Regional Development Associates LLC. Across America, in the communities and organizations that Jerry has assisted, he is being described as a “consensus builder.” With this skill, he has helped communities and organizations come together; lay aside their individual differences; develop a strategic plan, secure the necessary resource, and implement the outcome-driven plan. Each community is unique in its own way. But many of these communities are facing similar challenges. Workforce, Affordable Housing, Child Care, Quality of Place, Downtown Revitalization, Business Attraction and Retention, Shovel Ready Sites, and a lack of funding and resources are a few of the common hurdles to their future economic vibrancy. The communities and organizations that Jerry has assisted now have the buy-in from their stakeholders, a consensus-built plan, and the funding and resources to meet the challenges to that future economic vibrancy.

Jerry was CEO of the Partnership for a Greater Greenwood County (South Carolina). The Partnership was an excellent example of the public and private sectors coming together to provide the leadership and funding to achieve community, economic, and workforce development goals.

Prior to his career in economic and community development, Jerry was Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of Sediver, Inc., an international manufacturing corporation. Prior to being selected Secretary/Treasurer, he was Vice President of Administration, Human Resources, and Finance of Sediver, Inc. In the early years of his career, Jerry was a successful leader in state government programs focused on job creation and workforce development.
