The Clarksville Regional Economic Development Corporation is seeking a strong leader to serve as the President/CEO who will lead this dynamic community’s economic development efforts along with the day-to-day operation of the Clarksville-Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. The President/CEO will manage and direct a qualified staff in economic development, membership development, events, and community activities.
Clarksville, Arkansas is a vibrant, growing community connected to the east and west coast on America’s busiest cross-country highway, Interstate 40 between Little Rock, AR and Oklahoma City, OK in the Arkansas River Valley.
Clarksville enjoys a low cost of living; it is home to the University of the Ozarks; rated Best Top Tier College in the South Region, and close to rivers, lakes, mountains and streams. Clarksville is the southern gateway to the Buffalo National River; it has a 127-acre business/industrial park on I-40: it is the home to the state’s largest municipal solar power plant which was the 3rd largest solar project in the US in 2018 based on capacity per number of customers; a municipal electric utility receiving the APPA RP3 designation for reliability, and a municipal gigabit fiber optic network providing broadband for businesses and homes.
