Mayo Clinic Laboratories to bring testing operations to Southaven, MS
Jackson, Miss. (Sept. 9, 2026) –Mayo Clinic Laboratories is establishing operations in Southaven. The project represents a corporate investment of more than $30 million and will create 234 jobs.
From its new location, Mayo Clinic Laboratories will perform diagnostic testing for hospitals and clients to provide patients with accurate and timely results. The company selected Southaven due in part to its location and the availability of a facility that can be quickly operational with equipment installation.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. MDA also certified the company for the Health Care Industry Zone Incentive. The city of Southaven and DeSoto County are assisting with the project, as well.
Based in Rochester, Minnesota, Mayo Clinic Laboratories is a global reference laboratory providing advanced diagnostic testing and laboratory services for clinicians, hospitals, healthcare systems around the world.
The company plans to fill the 234 jobs in the next few years.
