Lucas is responsible for FirstEnergy’s economic development activities in Maryland and West Virginia. Along with promoting the area for business development, he works closely with county, regional and state level officials in a variety of roles to facilitate business growth and job creation. Lucas has more than 25 years in economic development and related experience. He has worked in the private and public sectors, and he understands the often complex issues related to site location and analysis. Lucas has a B.S. from Troy State University in Secondary Education and a M.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi in Economic Development. He is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute in Norman, Oklahoma.
