For military-connected communities, helping more of that talent build civilian careers locally can strengthen the workforce while keeping skilled workers, families, and economic activity in the region./

Andrew Reilley and John O'Toole will explore how technology can help regions better connect transitioning service members with local employers, improve the translation of military experience, and strengthen the path from military service to meaningful civilian careers. Drawing on work underway in Beaufort County, they will also discuss the practical role economic development organizations can play in turning military transition into a regional workforce and economic development opportunity.
