Melody Lockwood

Melody Lockwood is the President and CEO for Livingston Economic Development Council. She is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and a Master Economic Development Practitioner (MEDP) with more than 20 years’ experience in the field. She has worked on the state and local levels for both public and private economic development organizations.

Melody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Science degree in Economic Development (MSED) from Murray State University. She is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) through the University of Oklahoma. In 2018, she completed the inaugural class of the Advanced Economic Development Leadership Program, earning the Master Economic Development Practitioner (MEDP) designation. She has served on the Education and Certification Committee for IEDC since 2014 and is a board member for Business Retention Expansion International.
