Mark Mouton, MBA, MEDP

Mark D. Mouton is the Director of Business Development at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he leads strategic initiatives to attract investment, support industry expansion, and strengthen the region’s long-term economic competitiveness.

With more than 18 years of experience in economic development, including leading LEDA’s Business Retention and Expansion program, he focuses on business development, where he works directly with companies and site selection consultants to evaluate project requirements, identify viable locations, and align workforce and infrastructure to support successful project delivery. Mark has supported more than 100 business expansion and investment projects across key industries.

His professional background includes leadership roles in marketing and corporate training, and he was recognized in 2023 with the Richard E. Baudoin Jr. “Friend of Business” Award from Junior Achievement of Acadiana. An active community leader, Mark has twice served as President (Chairman of the Board) of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association and serves on the B.I. Moody III College of Business Executive Advisory Committee.
