Crystal Romanyszyn

Crystal Romanyszyn, CAE, IOM currently serves as the President & CEO of Shawnee Forward, Inc., the economic development agency for the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma and the surrounding region. As such, Crystal oversees the operations of a 300-member organization dedicated to strengthening the business community through connection, advocacy, and education. Ms. Romanyszyn works with community partners and leaders to foster growth and promote businesses in the region.
On a daily basis, her responsibilities include business recruitment, business retention & expansion, talent retention, workforce development, as well as a variety of other initiatives focused on enhancing the economic growth of the region.
She moved to Oklahoma in early 2022 after accepting a position as Senior Vice President of an economic development agency in Norman but ultimately was drawn to the smaller community in Shawnee. She stepped into her position at Shawnee Forward in September of 2023. Crystal has worked with multiple Chambers of Commerce during her career. Having experience around the country in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, she now brings a multi-faceted view to her position as CEO here in Oklahoma. Considering herself a serial entrepreneur, having started her first business at the age of 18, she has a deep passion for making a difference in the communities in which she serves.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as multiple industry certificates and designations.
