Professional Bio
Audrey Schroyer is the Executive Director of the Gainesville Economic Development Corporation, a Type B corporation in Gainesville, TX. As Executive Director, she facilitates all organizational recruitment and retention initiatives as well as workforce development programming and incentive negotiations.
Audrey has been an economic development professional since 2016. Recent projects include the partnership with Strategic Rail Industrial Services to develop Gainesville’s largest industrial property into a rail-served industrial park, representing a $274 million economic impact. Prior to joining the GEDC, she was the Marketing and Engagement Manager of the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation and the Director of Marketing & Business Development for DevelopAbilene. Audrey is a board member of the Texas Economic Development Council, serving as a member of the Executive Committee and is a part of the inaugural graduating class of the TEDC’s Future Leaders Training Program. She is also Treasurer of the Workforce Solutions Texoma board of directors, a member of the Southern Economic Development Council and a member of the International Economic Development Council. Audrey received her MBA from Piedmont University in Georgia and is currently pursuing her CEcD.
Audrey is an avid community volunteer through the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville and enjoys walking through the Historic District in Gainesville with her husband and their son.
