The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Project Manager for its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to market, manage and administer the program primarily in the Northern Virginia Region. The Project Manager will initiate projects, process applications and reimbursement requests, update hiring projections for budgetary purposes and maintain the proprietary database used by the VJIP team.


Candidates must possess considerable experience in project management, developing and implementing marketing, recruiting and workforce development plans. The Project Manager must be able to provide great customer service to both allies and client companies. The candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a high performance work team to coordinate with other VEDP divisions, as well as state and local economic developers and members in all levels of the academic community.

The Project Manager must have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.  Applicants must also have strong organizational skills and be able to plan and successfully manage multiple projects in a wide geographic area.  Proficiency in using multiple PC software packages is required including Microsoft Office products. Experience with Salesforce is a plus. Frequent travel is required.  A valid driver’s license and passport is required.  Undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration or economics or equivalent work experience is required.  Salary minimum: $72,700.
