Business Futures of America Conference

As part of SEDC’s new alliance with AmCham Canada, our members are invited to attend the Business Future of the Americas conference in Panama City, Panama, at the AmCham rate.  All programming will center around the conference theme of "Unlocking Sustainable Growth in the Americas: Governance, Equity, Energy, and Education."



  • ABOUT THE CONFERENCE: The American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama, as a member of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA), will host the "Business Future of the Americas" conference on July 15 - 16, 2014.
  • OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE: To bring together top AmCham leaders and business leaders of the region to hear world-class speakers and panelists talk about sustainability and participate in business networking under the umbrella of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
  • BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE SESSIONS:  For those attendees interested in staying an additional day (June 17), there will be Business Roundtable Sessions (6-10 one-on-one appointments with local Panamanian firms) for FREE.  If you are targeting certain Panamanian companies for your area, this will be a good opportunity to build relationships.  In addition, this could identify some export opportunities for your existing businesses.  To take advantage of this opportunity, you must first register for the conference and then complete a questionnaire and submit it to Pilar Ceron, Trade Director at AmCham Panama, at   
  • PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS: It is expected that senior leaders of 24 AmChams of Latin America and the Caribbean will attend, as well as representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and business leaders in the region.
  • CONFERENCE LOCATION: Panama Marriot Hotel, Marbella, Panama City.
